The Tape
The index complex did what it was supposed to do on a call day. SPY got in at 9:50 at $749.82 and never gave the room a reason to get cute. Z3 showed up one bar later, the ride stayed tight, and it closed at 3:55 at $754.68. That's $4.86 in 365 minutes, last trade standing in the group and basically the session.
QQQ was shorter and a little looser. In at 10:40 at $732.44, out at 2:10 at $735.63 for $3.19 in 210 minutes when the other side finally spoke up. Same direction, same idea. Less time, less money.
The Semis
AMD was the quick payout. 10:05 at $500.94, 11:45 at $519.68. $18.74 in 100 minutes. That was the fastest real money in the room.
QCOM and MRVL both paid like semis should on a day like this. QCOM went 9:55 at $235.65 to 1:30 at $246.55, good for $10.90 in 215 minutes. MRVL got in later, 11:25 at $196.275, and still put up $8.96 by 2:30 at $205.23 in 185 minutes.
AVGO and NVDA were cleaner than loud. AVGO added $5.74 from 10:10 to 2:30. NVDA took 195 minutes for $2.61 and only captured 40% of what was there. Fine trade. Not full freight.
SMCI was the cleanest patience test. Entry 10:10 at $38.29. Z3 confirmed one bar later. Exit 12:00 at $42.385. $4.10 in 110 minutes, with a 3% control ratio. Tight ride. Good capture.
MU was the only paid put in the group and it earned its place. Short from 1:15 at $941.62, covered 3:55 at $923.70. That's $17.92 in 160 minutes into the close.
Big Tech
META was the fastest name here. In at 9:40 at $630.89, out at 10:45 at $635.12. $4.23 in 65 minutes, no Z3, mid-ride violation, still got paid.
AMZN, PLTR, GOOGL, and TSLA all stretched deep into the afternoon. AMZN did $5.02 from 10:10 to 3:55. PLTR matched that kind of hold with $5.11 from 10:20 to 3:55. GOOGL stayed alive for 350 minutes and only got you $2.24. TSLA was worse: 355 minutes for $1.10, 64% control ratio. That one fed the market maker. Plain and simple.
The paid puts were scraps. AAPL gave $0.93 in 170 minutes. NFLX gave $0.81 in 80. Money is money. Nobody's framing those.
Crypto
Crypto had the best close holds on the board. COIN entered at 9:50 at $171.88 and stayed on the tape all day, closing 3:55 at $182.20. That's $10.32 in 355 minutes with Z3 firing right at entry.
HOOD did the same job a little later and almost as well. In at 10:25 at $78.54, out at 4:00 at $84.72. $6.18 in 335 minutes. Four percent control ratio. Tight the whole way.
That was the day: calls owned the board, semis paid fastest, crypto carried into the bell, and the dead money was easy to spot if you were honest about the hold time. Tomorrow the only thing that matters is whether early strength gets follow-through again or makes people chase the wrong names.
