AMD PUT +$10.10 (+101F) in 1hr 60% captured after bands expanded
Bands tightened before the trigger, then expanded hard during the trade while AMD rolled over into the open range. Entry at 9:45am was supported by heavy bearish institutional volume from 9:40am, then momentum stayed bearish after a structure shift at 9:50am and the downside confirmation showed up again at 9:55am, with the option put flow aligned and no need for a late reversal.
AMD’s 9:45 am PUT at $421.12 exited at 10:45 am at $411.02 for +$10.10, a one-hour hold that captured 60% of the session’s max close-to-close move after a $16.95 peak MFE at 10:20 am. Z3 flipped bearish at 9:55 am, just two bars after entry, printed three straight favorable cape bars, and peaked at -2.08 right as downside momentum actually started to separate. Structure backed it up fast: price was leaning off a fresh 9:40 am bear volume anchor set above the IB high with no bull anchor underneath, the Kijun flip hit lower at 9:50 am, bands tightened into the open then expanded hard from 10:00 am to 10:15 am, DMI never needed a fresh cross, and AMD never got the extra range extension below the IB low. Pain was basically nonexistent because the entry worked immediately, hit 10F without any real adverse close, then gave back $6.85 from the $404.17 peak into the exit.
Verdict: clean short, solid confirmation, but only medium-efficient since a decent chunk of the move was left on the table.
